Art, Activities and Friendship for Nottingham’s 60+

ArtSpeak is a Big Lottery funded outreach programme from Radford Care Group with an open invitation for people aged 60+ to get out, get creative, feel good and enjoy life to the full. Through the development of community hubs with an enriched arts programme embedded that meets the interests and desires of participants, ArtSpeak hubs will become social meeting points where an exchange of creative skills and interests can be shared, learnt and developed.

Our belief is that cultural engagement at any age underpins emotional stability and benefits health and wellbeing. ArtSpeak hubs will be set up in community and cultural areas easily accessed by public transport, and movement between City wards and the City Centre will be encouraged in order for participants to benefit from the full range of activities in the programme.

As a member of ArtSpeak you'll have the opportunity to engage in the Arts as a creator of your own work, a participant or an audience member.

Our programme currently features opportunities in Theatre, Creative Writing, Photography, Improvised Music sessions  plus a variety of  Art and Craft Workshops, many of them free.  Visit our website for full information.

Fancy volunteering with us or becoming an ArtSpeak Ambassador?

We’re looking for dedicated, friendly volunteers to work with us at ArtSpeak hubs, if you can commit to the full programme there will also be training and development opportunities.

Are you a community activist? Do you care about what is going on in your community and have a good understanding of the people living in your area? If the answer is yes, then we need you to join us as an ArtSpeak Ambassador to help spread the word about ArtSpeak and signpost people who would benefit from the programme.

If you are interested in any aspect of the programme please don’t hesitate to get in touch with us for more information, we’d love to hear from you.
